Floods @ Eden

Lostwithiel, Par, St. Austell, St. Blazey, and now the Eden Project.

Since the unfortunate amounts of rainfall on Tuesday the 16th of November, The Eden Project has suffered an awful downpour since the rain has hit.

The Link building, the Core, the Visitors Centre, the Dome, and most of the site has been heavily hurt by the weather this week, destroying some of the crafts that have been created within the Hive of Activity, and for the Time of Gifts, as well as bringing destruction the atmosphere here at The Eden Project.

However, there's always a rainbow that follows from an unusual and unsettling day of mayhem- most of the food that could be rescued went to help those affected by the floods in local areas, a local agricultural programme helped to save most of the plant life, and the Biomes remained unaffected.

Along with the good news in the building- the staff and volunteers have helped to make their contribution by helping with cleaning, as well as trying to sort everything out in anticipation for re-opening!

As well as trying to get all hands on board, the team has managed to keep the public well informed through their blog with regular updates and pictures.
